Brian Shanklin

President

Brian Shanklin is a seasoned executive in the oil and gas industry with over 30 years of experience, primarily in drilling, fabrication, and energy services.

He began his career in 1991 working offshore in the Gulf of Mexico with Sundowner Offshore Services. In 1995, after Nabors Industries acquired Sundowner, he transitioned to the Houston office, focusing on sales and contracts. At Nabors, he held various roles, including Project Manager in Singapore for the world's first FDPSO (Floating Drilling, Production, Storage, and Offloading) vessel—the Azurite project, which pioneered integrated drilling and production on a floating vessel.

He left Nabors in 2009 to co-found LoneStar Energy Fabrication with partners, including Mario Salinas. Based in Baytown, Texas, the company specializes in heavy fabrication of offshore and onshore drilling rigs, modules, living quarters, helidecks, and subsea components, serving major oil and gas clients with large-scale projects.

In around 2017–2018, Shanklin played a key role (as executive vice president) in the acquisition of Lineal Industries—a Pittsburgh-area pipeline construction, maintenance, and integrity services company established in 1955 This deal, under Lineal Star Holdings LLC, expanded operations nationwide, leading to entities like LS Energy Services USA (focusing on multi-discipline construction in oil/gas, refining, and petrochemicals) and related brands such as LineStar E&I.
